Dr Ed Halsey (m) Senior Partner BM, MRCP, DRCOG, MRCGP Qualified in 1999 from Southampton spending some time in general medicine before specialising in general practice. He has a young family, enjoys all ball sports but is usually on the bench. His accolade is coming second in Salisbury’s allotment competition (one year only!). |
Dr Eve McBride (f) Partner BM, DRCOG, FP Cert. Qualified from Southampton 1980 and has particular interests in psychiatry and women's medicine. Family of four, now growing up, the oldest a doctor in Manchester. Sings at every opportunity and enjoys the community life of a small market town and village. |
Dr Tim King (m) Partner. BM, BCh (Oxon.), MA (Cantab.), MRCS, MRCGP currently working three days per week in Mere. Qualified from Oxford in 2004 before several years in surgical training. Worked abroad for a year as an orthopaedic registrar before completing his training in general practice. Latterly he has worked in hospital posts in Salisbury District Hospital before joining Mere Surgery for his registrar year. His special interests include orthopaedics, sports medicine and minor operations. He keeps threatening to cycle the 26 miles to work, but seems regularly diverted to the golf course! |
Dr Bill Price (m) Salaried Doctor. FRCP, MRCGP, FP Cert Trained at the London Hospital and qualified in 1979. He came to Salisbury in 1982 as a Medical Registrar on rotation with Southampton. As well as about five years General Medical experience he also completed GP Vocational Training and came to Mere in 1987. He was previously the Senior Partner at the surgery for 23 years but has now reduced his hours to two sessions per week on a Tuesday morning and Thursday afternoon. He also continues to work on Wednesday mornings at the Diabetic Clinic in Salisbury District Hospital. Within the practice he is particularly interested in Diabetes, Asthma, Hypertension & Coronary Artery Disease. He is married to Renata who works locally as a Radiographer and has two children who have now left school. His outside interests are largely related to Natural History. |
Dr Isabel Andrews (f) Retainer MB, M.Chir (Cantab), MA, DCH, DRCOG, MRCGP Qualified from Cambridge in 1998 and spent the next few years in various hospital posts in East Anglia. She joined the Practice in 2001 as a Registrar and has stayed here ever since, apart from breaks to have her children. Her main interests are in child health, obstetrics and gynaecology and the social and psychological factors affecting health care. |
